Immunisations

Immunisations

At Ozemed Medical center and Surgery we provide immunisation services to babies, children, adolescents and adults, and stock a full range of scheduled vaccines. Our center provides an immunisation service that includes childhood, catch up, travel, seasonal (flu) and occupational health vaccinations (such as hepatitis B and tetanus).

Immunisation refers to the process where the body creates immunity to a disease as a result of exposure to a vaccine. A vaccine is a product made from killed or live, weakened strains of viruses or bacteria.

At Ozemed Medical centre and Surgery we do our best to make you feel comfortable when you’re having a vaccine or bringing your children for one. Our doctors and nurses will always explain which vaccines they are giving you, why you need them, and what type of side effects may occur.

Our center complies with Australian Standards, and is fully accredited for the storage of immunisations and vaccinations.
