Asthma diagnosis and management
Asthma is a common condition which affects the airways. There is no cure, however, it is treatable so people with asthma can lead normal lives. Symptoms usually include coughing, shortness of breath, wheezing and a tightness of the chest. The earlier the condition is diagnosed the sooner it can be managed.
Growth and development checks
At Ozemed Medical center and Surgery we recommend regular health checks to monitor how your child is growing and to offer early intervention and treatment if required. Child health checks are recommended at the following ages:
- 0 to 4 weeks
- 6 to 8 weeks
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 12 months
- 18 months
- 2 years
- 3 years
- 4 years/before school check
When it comes to the health of your child, one of the most important things a parent can do is to immunise their child. We offer the full childhood immunisation schedule and have a state of the art vaccine fridge. The government is also offering incentives for parents to ensure children's immunisations are up-to-date.
We offer services to help families manage their child’s lifestyle. Our doctors can provide a lifestyle and wellbeing health assessment, we also have a dietician for support and advice.
Mental health support
The ever growing demands of study, school, social life and home life, can take its toll on children and adolescents. Our doctors and psychologist are available for anyone who requires mental health support or just someone to talk to during a stressful time.
In addition, we treat a range of other childhood conditions and illnesses. Some of the more common childhood complaints include:

The prompt assessment and treatment of an unwell child is a priority for the practice.
